WINGATE, N.C. – The accolades continue for Central Washington University's
Brandham Ponce as he is named the NCBWA Division II West Region Player of the Week.
Â
"Brandham had another great weekend," Head Coach
Desi Storey said, "He had some clutch home runs, but also got key hits in moments when we needed him."
Â
Ponce receives the honor after an excellent showing at the plate against the Western Oregon Wolves this past weekend. The senior from Federal, Way, Wash. slashed .563/.611/1.313 with four home runs, 14 RBIs, eight runs scored, and nine hits over the four-game series. This is Ponce's second regional player of the week of the season after receiving the award in week one for his performance against Stanislaus State.
