ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Central Washington University Director of Athletics Dr. Dennis Francois announced today that Head Baseball Coach Desi Storey would not be returning after the completion of this season.

Storey, a graduate of CWU, played two seasons for the Wildcats in 1981-82 and has been at the helm of the baseball program since 1992.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Storey. He did a lot for our baseball program and positively impacted the lives of hundreds of young men during his tenure," said Francois. "I want to thank him for his service to our university and wish him the very best."

A national search for his successor will begin this spring with the goal of having a new coach in place on July 1.
