108 CWU Student-Athletes Honored with the ADA Academic Achievement Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Central Washington University saw 108 student-athletes receive the Division II Athletics Director Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award the association announced today for the 2025-26 athletics year.
 
The D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award is in its 19th year and recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. Overall, a total of 21,000-plus student-athletes were recognized from 179 institutions. Historically, 211,256 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
 
CWU's 108 student-athletes were the highest in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with Montana State Billings having the next highest at 74 student-athletes honored. In total 366 student-athletes were honored from five different GNAC institutions.
 
For student-athletes to qualify, they must:
 
  • The athletic director must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.
  • The student-athlete must:
    • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
    • Have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work.
    • Have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
 
The Wildcats had the following breakdown of recipients of each NCAA Division II sport:
 
Baseball – 11
Football – 24
Men's Basketball – 6
Men's Cross Country/Track & Field – 6
Softball – 9
Women's Basketball – 8
Women's Cross Country/Track & Field – 21
Women's Soccer – 12
Women's Volleyball – 11
