PORTLAND, Ore.- Two Central Washington University standout student-athletes were honored by the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Monday afternoon after outstanding performances over the weekend. Jonathan Garza II was named Baseball Pitcher of the Week while Isaiah Webster was tabbed Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Garza II pitched six strong innings against #16 Northwest Nazarene over the weekend, allowing five hits and no earned runs. He struck out eight, walked one, and faced 26 batters. His commanding performance against one of the nation's top-ranked teams highlighted his composure on the mound and his ability to overpower hitters.  
 
Webster dominated the field events with victories in both the long jump and triple jump, establishing himself as one of the GNAC's premier athletes. He claimed the long jump title with a mark of 7.13 meters, placing him 38th nationally in NCAA Division II, and followed it up with a winning leap of 14.92 meters in the triple jump. Webster also contributed to a team win in the men's 4x100-meter relay, joining Josh Boast, Cohen Hall, and Bautista Diamante to post a time of 42.06 seconds.  

Coach Hill states, "Isaiah had a nice meet in what was essentially his opener for outdoor.  Although it's wind-aided, it's good to see him competing for wins regardless the conditions – and he had three of them at home this weekend."
