PORTLAND, Ore. – Central Washinton University Baseball's
Brandham Ponce and
Daniel Charron have been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week and Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

"It was a great weekend for both Brandham at the plate and Daniel on the mound. Those two are extremely competitive, and it shows every time they are on the field."
Ponce was awarded the honor following his outstanding performance against the Saint Martin's Saints, where he tallied 10 hits, 11 RBI, and two home runs while posting a .625 batting average over the four-game series. The Crimson and Black newcomer played a key role in CWU's four-game sweep of the Saints, showcasing his power by leading the GNAC with 15 home runs and 48 RBI. In the series finale, Ponce delivered his most impressive moment yet, hitting a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth, driving a fastball to the opposite field. This marks his third career Player of the Week award.
Charron was awarded the honor following his outstanding pitching performance against SMU. He recorded eight strikeouts across seven and two-third innings and held the opposition to eight hits and two runs. He also recorded zero walks and earned his third victory of the 2025 season. This is his third career pitcher of the week honor, second of the season.
Ponce and Charron are back in action on Saturday, April 12
th as they travel to Monmouth, Oregon for a four-game set against Western Oregon. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Western Oregon Baseball Field.
