Ponce Selected to All-West Region Team After Strong Season for the Wildcats

DALLAS, Texas. – Brandham Ponce of the Central Washington University Baseball team was selected to the 2025 NCBWA NCAA Division II West All-Region First Team, announced by the association Friday morning.
 
Ponce earns the honor after a stellar season for the Crimson and Black that saw him break the GNAC single-season record for home runs with 19 total dingers. Ponce adds the selection to a large list of accolades from this season including being named the GNAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference unanimously. In his 196 at-bats, Ponce accumulated 71 hits, 65 RBIs, 47 runs, and 19 homers for a .362 batting average while slugging .730. Ponce also split the season pitching at the three-spot in the Wildcats' starting rotation while playing at third base for most of his other games, recording a .937 fielding percentage.
