ELLENSBURG, Wash.- The Wildcats will kick off their 2026 outdoor season this weekend by hosting the Wildcat Home Opener at the Recreation Sports Complex in the 'Burg.
Friday's meet will occur during Campus Parking Enforcement hours of operation. Due to that, patrons will need a guest parking pass if you don't already have a CWU pass in order to park in the paved parking lots closest to the recreation complex

ABOUT THE MEET
The Crimson and Black will open their 2026 outdoor season with a home meet, where many athletes are eager to showcase their hard work and set early marks for the year. Several athletes will transition from indoor to outdoor events, while others will make their outdoor debuts.
The meet will begin Friday at 8:30 a.m. with the women's weight throw, followed by the women's javelin throw at 10:00 a.m. Day one will conclude with the women's heptathlon 200 meters at 4:50 p.m., followed by the men's decathlon 400 meters at 5:25 p.m.
Day two will start with the men's hammer throw at 8:30 a.m., followed by the women's 10,000 meters at 9:00 a.m. The meet will conclude with the decathlon 1,500 meters at 5:25 p.m.

The 'Cats will travel to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the Oregon Preview, hosted by the University of Oregon, from Friday, March 20 through Saturday, March 21. The meet will be held at Hayward Field.
