Former Collegiate Standout Still Joins the Wildcat Soccer Family

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University Head Women's Soccer Coach John Hawks is excited to announce the addition of Washington native and former collegiate soccer standout Hailey Still as the next Assistant Coach for the CWU Women's Soccer Team.

"I'm beyond excited to have Hailey join our staff and come into the fold of what we're collectively building with the women's soccer program here at Central," Hawks said. "The fact Hailey is a native of Washington, has playing experience at the highest level both collegiately and as a youth, and knows the landscape of the PNW soccer community as a player and coach will serve our group well.

More importantly, who Hailey is as a human being, and the impact she'll have on our staff, the women within the locker room, and the program as a whole is undeniable; we will all be better for it on and off the field!

It will be a real joy to work alongside Hailey as we look to build off the momentum from this spring and set our sights on our 2026 campaign and beyond!"

Still recently completed her collegiate career playing her final two seasons at the University of Portland after playing four seasons at the University of Washington. While with the Pilots these past two seasons she compiled 10 goals and 20 points off of 45 shots in 26 games. While with the Huskies, Still added eight goals, two assists, and 18 points off of 48 shots in 38 games. She was a CSC Academic All-District honoree in her final season in the purple and gold.

"I am incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to join the women's soccer staff at Central Washington University under the leadership of John Hawks," Still said. "Coming directly from my collegiate playing career, I recognize how unique it is to step into a coaching role at this stage of my journey, and I am humbled by the trust that has been placed in me.

Some of the most influential people in my life have been the coaches who invested in me far beyond the game. They challenged me, supported me, and helped shape who I am today. Their impact inspired my passion for coaching and mentoring the next generation of student-athletes.

The opportunity to learn from Coach Hawks and be part of a program that is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field is something I do not take for granted. I am eager to continue growing as a coach while helping create an environment built on hard work, accountability, competition, and genuine care for the players.

Having recently been in the shoes of a student-athlete myself, I hope to bring a current perspective and a strong connection to the players as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of collegiate athletics. The game of soccer has given me so much, and I am excited for the chance to give back by helping young women grow as players, students, and people.

I am thrilled to call Central Washington home and deeply thankful for this opportunity. I cannot wait to get to work alongside our staff and student-athletes as we continue building something special."
