Sophomore Mariyah Vongsaveng captured the spotlight for the Central Washington University track and field team as she improved upon her school record time in the 60-meter hurdles at the Dempsey Indoor Track in Seattle, Wash. Vongsaveng crossed the finish line with a time of 8.70 seconds to capture the event title and better her previous school record by two one-hundredths of a second. Her new personal record also lowers her NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
