Sophomore Samantha La Rue just missed posting a provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw with a personal best throw measuring 53 feet to place fourth at the UW Open last Sunday. The Convington, Wash. native currently ranks fifth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in the event.
