MONMOUTH, Ore. (Apr. 28) -- The Central Washington University baseball team was held scoreless for the first 15 innings of its doubleheader against 13th-ranked Western Oregon University on Saturday, losing by scores of 8-0 and 9-4 at the WOU Baseball Field.
Central Washington fell to 16-24 on the season and 8-14 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play. WOU, which is also the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division II West Region, improved to 29-8 overall and 18-2 in the conference. The Wolves also clinched at least a share of the 2012 GNAC title with their game-two win.

ALEX BUSHMAN (Billings, Mont./Billings Central Catholic HS) and junior reliever
DREW DAVIDSON (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS) kept the Wildcats in the game through five innings of game one, holding the Wolves' offense to just three hits and no runs with a combined seven strikeouts. The rest of the Wildcats' bullpen threw three innings, surrendering eight runs, of which just two were earned. CWU committed one costly error in the eighth inning, on which the Wolves capitalized by scoring six unearned runs to put the game out of reach.

BRETT BIELEC (Port Orchard/North Mason HS) was the only Wildcat player to reach second base in the contest after getting hit by a pitch in the ninth inning and advancing to second on Wang's second single of the contest.
Western Oregon ace Grady Wood threw a complete game, improving to 10-0 on the season after striking out six batters without a walk..
The Central Washington offense didn't score until the final inning of game two, collecting four runs on five hits in its final inning at the plate. Junior catcher

JIMMY RYERSON (Seattle/Roosevelt HS) drove home a run on a two-out double to left field.

Travis Bradshaw also threw a complete game for the Wolves in game two, allowing four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.
The Wolves out hit the Wildcats 24-11 on the day, with nine of the hits being credited to Bo Folkinga and Brady Locker. Folkinga was 5 for 9 on the day, while Locker combined to go 4 for 8.
The two teams will wrap up their four-game series on Sunday at noon. CWU will then return home for its final home series of the 2012 season next weekend, hosting Montana State University Billings on Friday and Saturday (May 4-5).
