Box Score 2 ALMEDA, Cali. (March. 29) – The Central Washington University baseball team snatched two wins from Holy Names University Sunday afternoon winning 6-2 and 10-3 to take a total of three games from the host.
The two wins elevates the Wildcats overall record to 15-16.

Dustin Hamilton worked 4 2/3 innings of three hit ball allowing just two earned runs while striking out three.
After the Hawks plated the two runs,
Alhanon Miller and
Cory Welch would combine for 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball while Welch picked up his sixth save of the season.
The Wildcats would come roaring back in the seventh, eighth, and ninth inning with two runs apiece to take the lead for good.
In the seventh inning, CWU beninfited from an RBI-groundout from Welch and capitalized on an HNU error to knot the ball game at 2-2.
In the top of the eigth,
Darren Honeysett would eject his seventh homerun of the year to give the Wildcats a 3-2 lead, and
Benjamin Dunbar would double home the second run of the inning.
Two more runs in the top of the ninth gave the Wildcats a 6-2 lead as Welch retired the first three batters in order getting them: strikeout, foulout, strikeout.

HNU 001 002 0The Wildcats used a 10-run third inning to take the fourth game of the series.
Garrett Terrell and Honeyset singled with one out to spark the big inning.
Kasey Bielec would come to the plate after a Ryan Achibald hit-by-pitch and deliever his first RBI-single of the inning.
Jeff Beckman would knock in two more runs after a Hawks' error, as Honeysett would follow suit with his own two-RBI single, two batter after Beckman. After Archibald took his second hit-by-pitch of the inning, Bielec would deliever the final blow with another two-RBI single to cap the ten run inning.

Cory Welch worked five strong innings striking out five batters.
The Wildcats will travel back to Ellensburg to battle conference leaders Western Oregon University for a four-game series. Game one is set for a 1 p.m. start, Saturday, April 3.
