ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington softball team will take its conference leading 14-2 record on the road this weekend, travelling to Montana for a four-game series with Montana State Billings starting Friday, Apr. 14.
THE MATCHUP
CWU vs MSUB – Friday at noon and 2 p.m., and Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (All times are Pacific)
The Wildcats swept MSUB in their four-game series last season in Ellensburg. Central outscored the Yellowjackets 38-7 with a pair of 8-0 shutouts, with each game ending in less than seven innings.
Montana State Billings is coming off a rare bye week, having last playing in the Tournament of Champions, going 2-4.

For the second straight week, senior pitcher
Kiana Wood was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Wood posted a 2-0 record with a 1.17 earend run average over 12 innings of work, allowing four runs, two earned, on nine hits with six strikeouts. Wood is now 14-1 on the season, with a 1.89 ERA, both marks are tops in the conference.
