Soccer Set For Final Home Match Against NNU

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University women's soccer team hosts Northwest Nazarene in its final home match of the season.

The Nighthawks enter the week at 6-8-2 and 3-5-2 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.  They are 1-3-1 in their last five games, scoring just two goals. 
 
On the road, Northwest Nazarene has posted a 1-4-1 record away from home on the season and have been outscored 11-5 on the road.
 
Rikki Myers leads the Nighthawks with eight goals and two assists for 18 points.  She is the only player on the Nighthawks with 10 or more points.  Maddy Parton, Ashley Parton, and Makayla Roggow have each scored a pair of goals.  Maddy Parton leads NNU with four assists.
 
In GNAC play, Meyers has scored just a pair of goals and picked up two assists.  She is the only player for NNU to record more than one goal in conference play.
 
In goal, Alexis Montoya has played the vast majority of minutes.  In 16 games, Montoya has racked up 1,475 minutes.  She has made 97 saves and has a goals against average of 1.22. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats captured a 1-0 victory over Concordia (Ore.) on Senior Day.  Paige Devine scored the Wildcats' lone goal as Emily Thomson made five saves to earn the clean sheet.
 
CWU v NNU HISTORY
Central Washington recorded a 1-0 victory over NNU on October 24 in Nampa, Idaho.  The Wildcats unleashed a cannonade of shots in the first half, outshooting the Nighthawks 13-5. 
 
Early in the second half, the Nighthawks fired off a trio of shots in quick succession but did not find the back of the net. 
 
In the 79th minute, Bella Brown found Keenan with a headed pass and Keenan didn't miss.  She buried her chance, putting Central ahead 1-0.  The Wildcats outshot NNU 9-5 in the second half and put four shots on frame.
 
 
GNAC TABLE UPDATE
Western Washington, Seattle Pacific, and Western Oregon have all clinched spots in the GNAC Championships.
 
Central Washington sits in fourth place with 16 points.  Montana State Billings is four points behind in fifth with 16 points.  Northwest Nazarene has 11 points in sixth place.
 
The Wildcats play Western Oregon on Saturday (Nov. 8) as they close out the regular season.  The Nighthawks close out their regular season at Seattle Pacific.  Montana State Billings travels to Simon Fraser on Thursday (Nov. 6) before travelling to Saint Martin's University for their final match of the season on Saturday (Nov.8).
