QUOTABLE
"Each week we have kept taking a step forward," Assistant Coach Emmy Koflanovich said. "Which is all I can ask for. The girls have been responding well to new changes and I am excited to see what we can put together on Thursday and Saturday. We get another chance to play against a ranked opponent, which is extremely exciting, and will be a great test for us. Seattle Pacific is a great team with good direction. They are well-coached and disciplined under Arby, With NNU, Mary has done great job and turned out some quality results this year. They held a tough top-ranked Western team to just one goal two weeks ago. Being on the reverse side of the season series against NNU, I'm hoping we can return the favor from earlier this year at their place."

SCOUTING NO. 8 SEATTLE PACIFIC
The Falcons enter the week at 8-1-0, including a 5-1-0 record in GNAC play. They have settled into the top 10, coming in at No. 8 in Division II.

Seattle Pacific has outscored opponents 23-2, including scoring multiple goals in all but two of their contests. They lead the GNAC in goals (23), goals per game (2.56), assists (25), and points per game (7.89). Lauren Forster, AJ DePinto, and Makena Rietz lead the squad and GNAC with four goals each. Each of the three have also tallied multiple goal games. Sophie Chilczuk and Clare Neder are among the GNAC assist leaders with five and four, respectively.

Defensively, the Falcons rank second nationally in goals against average (0.22). They lead the GNAC in goals allowed (2) and clean sheets (7). Riley Travis has handled all but 36 minutes of the Falcons' game time in between the posts. She has made 24 saves on 70 shots. Seattle Pacific has allowed just 78 shots.

Last week Seattle Pacific picked up a pair of wins. They took down Simon Fraser 2-0, before a 1-0 overtime victory over Western Washington. Neder's sudden death thriller lifted the Falcons, while Travis' penalty save in the first minute of overtime kept the Falcons alive.

SCOUTING NORTHWEST NAZARENE
The Nighthawks roll into the week with a record of 4-4-2. In GNAC play, NNU holds a 2-3-1 mark. They have yet to record a win on the road, posting a 0-2-1 record away from home. NNU plays Montana State Billings on Thursday (Oct. 14) before heading to the Burg.

Last week the Nighthawks were 1-0-1. They notched a 2-0 win over Saint Martin's before playing to a 2-2 draw with Western Oregon.

NNU has tallied 13 goals, four coming from Madison Grande. She leads the Nighthawks in goals and points (9). McKenzie Buell and Sierra Sanchez are the only two other NNU players to amass more than goal on the season thus far. Eight total players have tallied at least one goal. Magda Wronski leads NNU with three assists. The Nighthawks have had nine different players tally assists. NNU has combined for 123 shots, averaging 13.7 per game. They are scoring at a clip of 1.56 goals per game. Just under half of the Nighthawks' shots have been on target.

Defensively, NNU has allowed 13 goals on 132 shots. Opponents are averaging 14.7 shots per outing. Alexis Montoya has started all nine of her side's matches. She has allowed 10 goals on 125 shots. Montoya has turned away 51 shots and registered four clean sheets.
