QUOTABLE
"WOU is always a quality opponent and I expect them to be competitive again this year." Said CWU Head Coach
Desi Storey. "Though I thought our pitching overall was good last time out, we have focused on getting ahead in counts and being consistent through the staff. Also, we have continued to work on steady improvement on the offensive side."

SCOUTING WESTERN OREGON
The Wolves are currently 1-1 on the season, splitting the two games with Saint Martin's University.
The Wolves lost their season opener 6-7. The Wolves offense put up a whopping 17 hits and 4 base-on-balls. They stranded 8 runners out on the base paths. The Wolves defense put up 10 strikeouts and only gave up 3 base-on-balls, a strong performance lead by Sophomore Matthew Dunaway.
The Wolves posted a powerful win in game two, winning by a score of 18-2 in 7 innings. The Wolves offense in game two regardless of putting up 18 runs, still managed to leave 9 runners on the base paths. A pair of triples & a trio of doubles showed the Wolves have the ability to go gap-to-gap. The Wolves defense struck out 12 allowing only 4 base-on-balls, led by Senior Logan Hatley who received the win.
Between putting up at least 6 runs and leaving 8 runners on base, the Wolves have the offense ability to tack on runs early. The pitching staff has showed just as much prowess, putting up 22 strikeouts between the two games. The Wildcats will have their hands full on both sides of the ball.
