"Moving into conference this weekend, we are staying focused on our individual and team growth," CWU Head Coach
Alison Mitchell said. "We have shown we can compete in the box and get runners on base, but we are looking to be better about turning runners into runs. In the circle and defensively, we are continuing to look to spin the ball and limit what our opponents can do on offense."
SCOUTING MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
The Yellowjackets enter the week with a record of 3-9 after being swept by Northwest Nazarene last weekend. The Nighthawks took all four games with at least a seven-run margin.
Northwest Nazarene opened the series with a 9-0 victory in five innings. They took games two and four of the series 8-1, sandwiching a six-inning 16-8 victory in game three.
Sidney Pollard leads the 'Jackets offense with a .388 average. She has appeared in nine games and is 7-for-19 on the season. Among players who have appeared in over 10 games, Allie Hughes leads in average at .333 (10-for-30).
Hughes leads Billings in runs scored (9), homeruns (4), and runs batted in (11). She is slugging .767 and has only compiled a pair of walks and strikeouts each.
The Yellowjackets are hitting .268 as a team with 13 homeruns, 53 runs scored, and 34 extra base hits.
Julia Qualteri has made five starts in the circle for the 'Jackets. She holds a record of 1-4 with an earned run average of 7.60 and a WHIP of 1.91. Qualteri has worked one complete game and has a total of 19.1 innings pitched. Opposing hitters hold an average of .296 against her. Qualteri has struck out nine and walked 13.
Alyssa Etheridge, Jenna Kister, and Haley Couch have also spent time in the circle for MSUB. Etheridge has tossed 19.2 innings and has not recorded a decision in six appearances, three of which have been starts. Kister is 2-2 in five appearances, two starts, and an has an ERA of 7.00. Couch has made seven appearances and hurled 16 innings. She has recorded one save and holds a record of 0-3.

Central Washington dropped three of its four games against Western Oregon University.
The Wildcats' pitching was stellar all weekend.
Samantha Stanfield went 7.1 innings and game one. She allowed just two earned runs and struck out six, she was still charged with the loss however.
Rhaney Harris notched a complete game win in game two. She allowed just four hits over six innings, with four strikeouts and just one walk.
Lexie Strasser allowed just three runs in the series' third game.
Isabel Womack threw the Wildcats' third complete game of the weekend in game four. She allowed just two runs, on five hits, with five strikeouts and zero walks.
Theresa Moyle leads Central's offense through the first 10 games. She has posted an average of .438 and an OPS of 1.113. Moyle has driven in 11 runs, on 14 hits, with one double and three triples. She has also scored 10 runs.
Allie Thiessen sits just .009 behind Moyle at .429. She has posted an OPS of .979. The Wildcats are hitting .312 on the season and have scored 63 runs. The Crimson and Black have also swiped 15 bases in 18 attempts.
