QUOTABLE
"Excited to build on our results from our first game two weeks ago," CWU Head Women's Soccer Coach Michael Farrand said.  "Saint Martin's has been playing a lot of games and just had a tough one goal loss against Western Washington. Heather Cato has really worked hard and made a lot of progress through the spring games. On our part, we will be mixing up the roster and will continue to use the spring to both evaluate our players and work on building for the fall.

We had a pretty wide open game the last time with SMU and I would expect that this game would be similar.  Very important for us to maintain possession a little longer, take advantage of our chances on goal and more importantly be very solid on defense. Excited for the best day of the week - GAME DAY!"

SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Saint Martin's sits at 1-8 on the season with their last match. In their last outing, the Saints fell 1-0 in Bellingham.

A 29th minute goal from Western's Darcy Doyle gave the Vikings the only offense they needed. The Saints put up seven shots, four on goal.

Through nine games, SMU has scored 10 goals and allowed 23. Kiersten Madsen has provided five goals and one assist, making her involved in 60 percent of the Saints' goals. Lexi Cacares (2), Rachel Kimura, Taylor Goodpaster, and Justine Pauly have each scored at least one goal as well. Payton Aselton has tallied a team-high two assists. Saint Martin's has been outshot 154-70 on the season and trail 72-28 in shots on goal.

Ali Campigotto has handled all nine contests in goal. She has made 50 saves and holds a goals against average of 2.52.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats handed Saint Martin's a 4-3 loss in double overtime.

Jayme Woodfill opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Goodpaster leveled the score with a goal for Saint Martin's just 2:30 later. The Saints took the lead in the 16th minute on a penalty kick goal from Madsen. Sydney Lowe tied the contest in the 19th minute at 2-2 with her first goal of the season, before the offenses quieted until the 70th minute. The Saints struck late in the first half, taking a 3-2 lead into halftime.

Kianna Harris brought the game level for the final time in the 70th minute. It took until double overtime before the score sheet saw another addition. Emily Darcy netted her first collegiate goal in the 102nd minute of play with an assist from Grace Jackson, who collected her first career point.
