SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
The Vikings are currently 5-1 and fresh off of a win against Seattle Pacific University.
The Vikings offense is currently averaging 13.1 kills per set n 275 kills this season. They average 7 ball handling errors a set, dead even with their competition so far. From behind the line their offense puts up just over an ace per set. The Viking defense has stayed strong against opponents, out blocking their competition on average 3.0 to 1.4 per set.
BACK TO COMPETITION FOR THE 'CATS
The Wildcats are currently 1-4 coming off of a two-week break from canceled matches out of caution for the health and safety of student-athletes and staff.
The 'Cats offense is led by
Analia Vasquez with 48 kills on the season averaging 2.4 a set. Just behind her is
Kylie Thorne averaging 2.3 kills a set. As a team the 'Cats average 10.2 kills per set with 9.6 assists. From behind the line the 'Cats have averaged 1.7 aces per set. The duo of
Sydney Remsberg and
Kennedy Kibby from behind the line average 3.9 (Remsberg) and 3.6 (Kennedy) aces per set for the 'Cats.
The 'Cats defense is backed by
Hannah Stires who has already eclipsed 100 digs averaging 5 per set. Up front on the net it is the trio
Carly Gibbon,
Marianna Payne and
Kylee Yamashita who knock the ball down. Payne leads the 'Cats with 14 blocks, Gibbon with 13 and Yamashita with 11. The 'Cats defense has out-blocked opponents 45-37 so far this season.
