Box Score Burnaby B.C. - The Wildcats clawed to an early second-half lead, but ultimately fell 3-2 as the 'Cats took on Simon Fraser at Terry Fox Field in Burnaby, B.C., earlier today.

Simon Fraser struck early in the third minute of the contest when Katie Richardson grabbed a rebound and buried it. The Wildcats responded in the 10th minute with a goal from
Emily Darcy, her 6th on the season. Darcy received a pass from
Jordan Bartlow, brought the ball up, got past the goalkeeper and poked the equalizer into the goal.
SFU had a breakaway in the 22nd minute, Muzzolini had a point-blank chance, but
Kassandra Jaggard aggressively came out to make the save. The 'Cats had a great opportunity on a corner kick in the 44th minute, but Nicole Anderson batted it away.
It was all square at the half 1-1, despite Simon Fraser leading in shots 14-6 and corner kicks 6-2.
Central started the second half with a bang.
Maggie McBroom struck in the 49th minute giving the 'Cats their first lead. SFU responded by upping the intensity, Zaurrini received a corner kick and put it into the right side of the net in the 64rd minute, tying the match 2-2.
SFU provided the fireworks for the home crowd in the 73nd minute when Kate Cartier served a corner into the box headed by Kiara Buono, off of a CWU defender and into the goal for the lead. Simon Fraser would hold off the pressure from the Wildcats for the rest of the way to secure the victory.
