ELLENSBURG, Wash. - As the regular season reaches its final weeks, the Central Washington University volleyball team will travel up to Alaska to face the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the #6 Alaska Anchorage Seawolves.

The Nanooks and Wildcats will clash on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 8:00 p.m. UAF owns a 15-11, 5-9 record and most recently fell in four sets to Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 29.

Alaska Fairbanks averages 12.2 kills, 2.4 blocks and 13.7 digs per set. Karli Nielson and Rilee White both lead the way when it comes to kills as both average over 2.60 per set. Nielson is 9th in the conference in this category while White is 12th. Ainsley Smith leads in assists per frame (5.42) but Taylor Overn is second with 4.52.

Jessa Long, the Nanooks libero, is 1st in the conference in digs per set with 4.59. Elizabeth Jackson's team-leading 1.23 blocks per set is 3rd in the GNAC.

UAF traveled to Ellensburg on Oct.8 as they got swept, backed by an impressive all-around team performance by the 'Cats. The Wildcats had a hitting percentage of .319 while holding the Nanooks to 0.51.

Emma Daoud-Hebert led the way with a team-high seven blocks to pair with nine kills.
Kylie Thorne had the most kills for the Wildcats (10).
Tia Andaya had an eight-kill, 15-assist, eight-dig performance.
Sydney Remsberg recorded 15 assists.
Ashley Kaufman led the team in digs (14).

On Saturday, Nov. 5, at 8:00 p.m. the 'Cats will look to enact revenge on the conference-leading, #6 nationally-ranked Seawolves (23-2, 13-1).

Alaska Anchorage leads the GNAC in hitting percentage (.284), opponent hitting percentage (.146), kills per set (13.18) and assists per set (12.25).

Eve Stephens, a six-time GNAC weekly award winner this season, leads AAU and the conference in kills per set (4.59) by a wide margin. Ellen Lloyd records over 10 assists per frame.

Talia Leauanae leads the Seawolves in digs per set (3.82), but Floyd and Stephens both average over 2.50 each set. Isabel Evans is the Seawolves blocking leader per set (1.01).

On Oct. 6, the Wildcats lost to Alaska Anchorage in straight sets. The Seawolves combined for 20 blocks, holding CWU to a 0.56 hitting percentage. Stephens logged a team-high 11 kills and 10 assists to go along with six blocks. Floyd led AAU in assists (25). Evans led the team in blocks (7).

Daoud-Hebert led the 'Cats in kills (8) and added two blocks. Andaya had a 7-kill, 15-assist performance.
Hannah Stires led the team in digs (19). Remsberg posted 11 assists.
Ashley Kaufman logged six kills and 10 digs on the night.

The Wildcats (14-9, 9-6) enter the weekend in a three-way tie in the GNAC standings, tied with Northwest Nazarene and Seattle Pacific. Last weekend, the team swept Simon Fraser and fell to #10 Western Washington in a five-set thriller.

Emma Daoud-Hebert, the reigning GNAC Defensive Player of the Week, currently leads all Division II athletes in blocks per set (1.48).

As a team, CWU logs 12.9 kills, 2.5 kills and 13.8 digs per frame. Andaya's current season stat line sits at 2.65 kills, 5.40 assists and 1.78 digs per set. Kaufman leads the team in kills each frame (3.19), good for 5th in the conference. Remsberg has 5.55 assists each set on the year. Stires is 4th in the GNAC in digs per frame (4.13).
