SPOKANE, Wash. - In their first meet back from the holiday break, the Central Washington University indoor track and field continued to improve as the season rolls on, led by performances from
Johan Correa and
Lauryn Chandler.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Correa, who broke the program record in the men's 800-meter race last month at the Spokane Invitational, broke his own record again today with a time of 1:53.85, good for 5th in the event. He continues to lead the GNAC in the men's 800-meter race.

Chandler set a personal record with her fantastic performance in the women's 60-meter hurdle with a time of 8.79. Her time surpassed the provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Championships in March and earned her a finish of 3rd in the event. She currently leads the GNAC in the event.

The next top finisher for the Wildcats was
Erica Cabanos. She got 5th in the women's triple jump at 11.31 meters. Her triple jump score is good for 3rd in the conference. Additionally, she got 13th place in the women's long jump (5.05 meters).

E'lexis Hollis placed eighth in the women's 60-meter race with a time of 7.74 seconds. In the prelims, she ran a time of 7.66 seconds which met the NCAA Championships provisional time. She currently ranks 2nd in the GNAC in the women's 60-meter race.
