SPOKANE, Wash. - In their last meet before the GNAC Indoor Championships, the Central Washington University indoor track & field team showed out at the Whitworth Invitational at The Podium this weekend.
 
E'lexis Hollis, Erica Cabanos, Braydon Maier, and the women's 4x400 meter relay team placed 1st in events for the Wildcats.

• "We're definitely continuing to see a lot of good progress for people, which is great with a week to go until conference championships. We're setting ourselves up for good things at the championships."

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Hollis, who not only set a personal record and placed 1st in the women's 60-meter dash, broke her own school record with a time of 7.48 seconds. She's 12th in the nation and 2nd in the GNAC in the race.
• Cabanos recorded a leap of 37' 3" in the women's triple jump, a season-best for her. She's 4th in the GNAC in the event.
• Maier finished first in the men's heptathlon with a season-best score of 5,128. He finished 1st in the 1000-meter, 60-meter hurdles, and pole vault portion of the event.
• The women's 4x400 meter relay team comprised of Juliette Williams, Elise Hopper, Donna Marie Harris, and McCall DeChenne placed 1st in the race. They lowered their GNAC-leading and provisional-qualifying time to 3:52.04.
• Additionally, Williams set a personal record in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.73 seconds, good for 7th in the event and 4th in the GNAC. She also set a personal record with a time of 25.37 in the women's 200-meter race, also good for 7th in that event and 4th in the conference.
• 11 more Wildcats set personal records at the meet: Ty Savely, Ellie DeGroot, Isaiah Webster, Sarah Sewell, Tre Silva, Donna Marie Harris, Aiden Wise, Jack Pratapas, Zoe McDevitt, Madison Thompson, and Logan Easley.
