MONMOUTH, Ore. - Lauryn Chandler of the Central Washington University track & field team headlined all performances for the Wildcats by winning the 100-meter hurdles at the GNAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday. Nine more Wildcats, and two relay teams, recorded podium finishes.
The men's team finished 4th with a score of 106 while the women's squad landed in the middle of the pack at 5th place with a score of 85.

ABOUT THE MEET:
- After finishing as the top qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles on Friday, Chandler got the job done, becoming the GNAC champion in the 100-meter hurdles. She clocked in at 13.97 seconds. Her prelims time from yesterday (13.90) now ranks 21st in the nation.
- E'lexis Hollis ran an 11.54 in the 100-meter dash on her way to 2nd place. She lowered her program-history leading time by 0.09 seconds and is also 21st in Division II.
- A pair of Wildcats came in 2nd in the 400-meter hurdles. For the men, Austin Albertin ran a provisional qualifying time of 53.05 seconds, a PR. Albertin's time is 42nd in the nation. Zoe McDevitt finished at 1:02.95, setting a new PR.
- Two more Wildcats earned 2nd-place finishes in the discus throw. Brenna Board logged a throw of 130' 4", a PR, while Wyatt Franklin set a new PR at 151' 0".
- After a 2nd-place finish in the long jump yesterday, Isaiah Webster earned another all-conference jump, this time in the triple jump. He recorded a launch of 47' 3.5", a PR, for 3rd place.
- Juliette Williams came in 3rd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.90 seconds.
- Johan Correa recorded a 3rd-place finish in the 800-meter dash, clocking in at 1:51.44.
- In the 110-meter hurdles, Aiden Wise got 3rd place (14.88 seconds).
- Finishing 2nd, the women's 4x400 relay team of Donna Marie Harris, Elise Hopper, Williams, and Ellie DeGroot finished in 3:52.34, setting a new season-best time.
- Meanwhile, the women's 4x100 relay team (Hopper, Williams, Chandler, Hollis) placed 3rd at 47.08 seconds, also a season-best time.
- Reilly Williams (400-meter hurdles) and Jancy Sykes (pole vault) recorded PRs.
