NAMPA, Id. - Advancing to 7th all-time in program history,
Drew Klein logged a score of 6,538 and a 3rd place finish in the decathlon at the GNAC Combined Championships.
Ellie DeGroot led the way in the heptathlon, placing 5th with a score of 4,253.

ABOUT THE MEET:
- The top finisher at the GNAC Combined Championships was Klein in the decathlon. His score of 6,538 improved him to 7th all-time in program history. He earned 2nd-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (11.46), discus throw (122' 2", a PR), and javelin throw (171' 2", a PR). Klein's score set a provisional qualifying mark and ranks 17th in Division II.
- With a score of 4,253, DeGroot finished as the top performer in the heptathlon for the Wildcats. Her total score set a PR. DeGroot won the 800-meter dash (2:23.88) and earned a PR in the shot put (28' 10.5").
- Sam Katsuda earned a score of 4,345, a PR, on his way to finishing 10th in the decathlon. He also grabbed PRs in the 100-meter dash (11.93) and discus throw (100' 0").
- McCall DeChenne finished 11th in the heptathlon with a score of 3,738. DeChenne placed 2nd in the 200-meter (25.43) but battled injuries and did not finish in the 800-meter, causing a slip in the standings.
- Also battling injuries, Braydon Maier finished 11th in the decathlon (4,337). Maier set a PR in the discus throw with a launch of 126' 10".
- Carley Huber placed 13th in the heptathlon (2,627).
