PREVIOUSLY FOR THE 'CATS
Central Washington has seen an excellent start to conference play this season, going 4-0 so far with three of their wins being sweeps. After sending Montana State Billings packing 3-0 on Thursday, Sept. 26, The Wildcats saw their first set loss, going down early to the Falcons of Seattle Pacific University. However, Central would win the next three sets to secure their fourth-straight win 3-1. After their 4-0 start to conference play, CWU has found its way back into the AVCA rankings after receiving 2 votes.

The 'Cats were led by fifth-year senior Emma Daoud-Hebert, who earned GNAC Offensive Player of the Week after posting a .621 hitting percentage; nearly 200 points higher than the next-closest GNAC player during that week. Daoud-Hebert currently leads all of Division II volleyball in hitting percentage with .494. Team leaders for Central this season also include Marianna Payne (117 kills), Hannah Stires (145 digs), Morgan Halady (39 blocks), Kayleigh-Shay Chang (206 assists), and Ellie Marble (14 service aces).

ABOUT THE NIGHTHAWKS
Under Head Coach Doug English who's in his 13th season at the helm of NNU, the Nighthawks evened out their conference record to 2-2 last weekend when they defeated Seattle Pacific 3-2, and Montana State Billings 3-1. The Nighthawks' efforts earned them GNAC Team of the Week.

NNU's big play comes from this week's Defensive Player of the Week Madi Smith, whose 15 blocks and 12 assists carried her team to victory in their two matches. The Nighthawks' team leaders this season are Maren Machado (126 kills, 185 digs, and 22 service aces), Hailey Cheney (38 blocks), and Gabi Moore (306 assists).
