ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University baseball pitcher Jonathan Garza II has been selected as the D2 Baseball Insider National Pitcher of the Week following his no-hitter at St. Martin's over the weekend.
 
The honor comes after Garza helped the Wildcats earn a weekend split at St. Martin's last weekend.
 
Garza II pitched the full seven innings in game two on Saturday helping the 'Cats to a 11-0 victory. He allowed four walks and threw six strikeouts enroute to the 'Cats first no-hitter since February 7, 2015, which was also against St. Martin's.
 
Garza II and the Wildcats are back in action this weekend as they look to defend The 'Burg in a pivotal four-game series against Western Oregon this Saturday and Sunday with first pitch times set for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
