ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University's Ben Leid has been selected to the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II Preseason All-West Region Team, the organization announced today.
 
Leid, a senior from Corvallis, Ore. earned D2CCA Honorable Mention All-American and NCBWA All-West Region Team selections in 2024, as well as being named the GNAC Player of the Year. 
 
Leid finished the 2024 season with a .425 batting average with a .680 slugging percentage and .490 on-base percentage. Leid also recorded 41 runs, 77 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, nine home runs, 46 RBI, and a .931 fielding percentage.

The Wildcats open the 2025 season on Friday, Jan 31 at Turlock, Calif., taking on the Stanislaus State Warriors. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
