PORTLAND, Ore.- The Central Washington women's soccer team has 15 players recognized by the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, earning All-Academic honors today.
Seniors Annelise Bauman, a STEM Teaching major with a 3.87 GPA, and Casey Park, an Accounting major with a 3.65 GPA, have consistently led the Wildcats in academic excellence over the years. This marks Bauman's third time earning GNAC All-Academic Honors, while Park has received the award for the fourth consecutive year.
Lainee Derry studies Clinical Physiology with a GPA of 3.85, Danika Galbraith majoring in Business Administration with a GPA of 3.24, Cam Sheets studies Clinical Physiology holds a 3.79 GPA, Tatum Zuber majoring in Sport Management with a GPA of 3.38 are all receiving GNAC All-Academic Honors for the second time in their careers.
Kendal Smith majoring in Communications with a standing GPA of 3.46, Kelsey Fulton studying Business Administration stands with a 3.99 GPA, and Bella Green also studies Business Administration holding a GPA of 3.81. The three Juniors are being recognized for their first GNAC All-Academic Honor.
Carmen Anderson who is currently undeclared on a major is holding a 4.0 GPA, Mychael Carbon majoring in Psychology with a GPA of 3.9, Sydney Madison majoring in Biology with a GPA 3.91, Shannah Mellick (Undeclared, GPA of 3.89), Ava Shiflett (Biology, GPA of 3.97), and Peyton Wilson (Elementary Education, 4.0 GPA) are all first time GNAC All-Academic honorees.
To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must be rostered the full 2024 campaign.
