ELLENSBURG, Wash.- The Central Washington University women's soccer team (3-4-4, 1-4-3 GNAC) returns to action this week with a pair of GNAC road matchups. The Wildcats kick off the trip on Thursday, Oct. 23, against Seattle Pacific University (5-3-5, 3-2-3 GNAC) in Seattle, Washington. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Interbay Soccer Stadium. They'll then travel to Billings, Montana, to face Montana State Billings University (2-10-0, 1-7-0 GNAC) on Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Yellowjacket Soccer Field.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats opened the weekend with a 3-0 loss to #19 Simon Fraser on Thursday, Oct. 16, before battling to a 2-2 draw against Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Oct. 18.
In the matchup against the Red Leafs, Simon Fraser struck early, with Sarah Caravatta putting the home side on the board in the 4th minute, rifling a shot past the keeper off assists from Kaiden Sherwood and Katelyn Magdalinski. Sherwood doubled the lead in the 19th minute, slotting the ball home on assists from Magdalinski and Kiera Scott. SFU added a third goal in the 26th minute as Sofia Faremo fired a shot into the back of the net, assisted by Caravatta.
The Red Leafs outshot CWU 15-10, generating steady pressure throughout. Goalkeepers

Leighton Menge each played a half, with Galbraith recording six saves and Menge adding three.
Jaylee Reynolds led the Wildcats offensively with two shots on goal in 68 minutes of play, while
Cam Sheets contributed three shots, one on target, in 47 minutes.
Against the Nighthawks,
Casey Park opened the scoring for CWU in the 33rd minute with a long-range strike from 25 yards out that sailed over the goalkeeper's reach. Northwest Nazarene equalized just before halftime, as Savanna Herz finished a cross from Alexis Cromwell in the 44th minute.
Cam Sheets put the Wildcats back in front in the 53rd minute, calmly converting a penalty kick into the top-left corner. NNU responded in the 77th minute when Attie Jo Westbrook rifled a shot past the keeper to tie the game at 2-2. Despite chances for both sides down the stretch, neither team could find a game-winner.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS
The Falcons are coming off a strong homestand, earning a 1-1 draw against Western Oregon on Thursday, Oct. 16, followed by a 1-0 victory over Montana State Billings on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Against the Wolves, SPU fell behind in the 26th minute after conceding an own goal. However, in the closing moments of the match, Kayla Wallace converted a penalty kick in the 89th minute to salvage a point. Both teams registered 15 shots and generated several quality scoring opportunities. Goalkeeper Mercedes Cullen made two saves in the first half, while Landry Schoennauer added three in the second. Wallace led the Falcons offensively with six shots, including two on target, in 77 minutes of action. Taylor Krueger contributed three shots, one on goal, over 69 minutes.
In the win over Montana State Billings, Wallace struck early, scoring in the 2nd minute off assists from Andie Buckley and Krueger. SPU dominated offensively, outshooting MSUB 29-4, but struggled to convert chances beyond the early goal. Cullen and Schoennauer once again split time in goal, combining two saves for the shutout. Buckley paced the offense with six shots, two on goal, in 77 minutes, while Grace Gouran added four shots, one on target, in 79 minutes.

SCOUTING THE YELLOWJACKETS
Montana State Billings is coming off a tough road trip, falling 3-0 at Saint Martin's on Thursday, Oct. 16, and 1-0 at Seattle Pacific on Saturday, Oct. 18.
In the match against the Saints, Brooke Streeter opened the scoring in the 18th minute, converting a penalty kick to give SMU the early lead. Briana-Jean Tanaka added to the advantage in the 31st minute, finishing off an assist from Hinata Kojima. Tanaka capped off the scoring in the 89th minute, slotting home her second goal of the match to seal the 3-0 win. Saint Martin's outshot MSUB 22-6. Goalkeeper Natalie Weinmaster made six saves, while Jamie Maas led the Yellowjackets' offense with two shot attempts, including one on target, in 71 minutes of play.
Against Seattle Pacific, MSUB conceded early, as Kayla Wallace scored in the 2nd minute off assists from Andie Buckley and Taylore Krueger. The Falcons controlled the match, outshooting the Yellowjackets 29-4. Weinmaster made six saves to keep the scoreline close. Liberty Palmer led MSUB in attack with three shots, one on goal, while playing the full 90 minutes.
