PORTLAND, Ore. – The Central Washington University athletic programs were recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year in the GNAC All-Sports rankings, with the department's women's teams combining for 70 points overall and the department's men's teams totaling 40 points.
The Wildcats point totals for both the men's and women's overall scores put CWU in fifth place in both divisions, slotting CWU at sixth overall in the combined school scores.
Central Washington had two individual sport winners, led by the volleyball team with a 3.66 GPA, followed by men's cross country with a 3.57 GPA. Also represented in the top three was the women's soccer and women's basketball teams, respectfully with both teams placing third in the conference. Women's soccer accumulated a 3.64 GPA while women's basketball wasn't far behind with a 3.63 GPA.
This is the fourth time the men's cross-country team topped the GNAC with their GPA with their last leading the GNAC coming in 2022-23. This is the second-straight highest GPA for the CWU volleyball team and their eighth ever highest GPA.
