PORTLAND, Ore. – Scottie Ellsworth and
Ellie Marble of the Central Washington University volleyball team earned a spot on the GNAC Preseason All-Conference Team, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Ellsworth, a senior from Kent, Wash., had a strong year offensively for the Wildcats. In her 25 matches last season, Ellsworth recorded 185 total kills–holding fourth in season-high kills, with an average of 2.03 per set. She also logged 72 total blocks, averaging 0.79 per set. Her efforts assisted the offense to achieve a regular season title for the Wildcats.

Marble, a junior from La Conner, Wash., had an impressive year on both sides of the court. Starting in 23 matches, Marble recorded 239 kills–earning second in season-high kills and averaging 2.75 per set. She also logged 220 digs–also second for season-high, for an average of 2.53 per set. Marble tallied 20 service aces–holding third for season-high as well. Her efforts earned a selection on the All-GNAC Honorable Mention team at the end of the season.

The Wildcats enter the 2025 season atop the GNAC Standings–having won the conference title last season and look to continue the success when the season begins.

The season will officially start when the Wildcats travel to Bellingham, Wash. to take part in the Western Washington University Invitational from Thursday, September 4 through Saturday, September 6. The 'Cats open the WWU Invitational against San Francisco State on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Central then takes on the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos on Friday at 1:30 p.m., and will wrap up the WWU Invitational on Saturday against the St. Cloud Huskies at 11:00 a.m.
