Clark Named GNAC Player of the Week After Breaking Conference Record and Logging Career-High in Points

PORTLAND, Ore. – Central Washington University Women's Basketball junior guard Jordan Clark has earned second Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week this season after showing a stellar performance this past week, including breaking a GNAC record and logging his single-game career-high in points.

"Jordan had a special performance on Thursday," CWU Head Men's Basketball Coach Brandon Rinta said. "I've never seen a player hit nine three's in a row on TV let alone in person. He single-handedly broke that game open."

Clark opened the weekend with a dominant 38-point performance against Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday night, pouring in points on 13-16 from the field, including a scorching 9-10 from three-point range, breaking a GNAC record for most three-pointers with one miss. Clark's performance from beyond the arc was nearly untouchable, starting the game with nine consecutive three-pointers, including four going back-to-back halfway before missing his final shot. The outburst marked one of the top scoring nights of the season and helped fuel CWU's 101-point effort, as well as demolishing Clark's previous career-high of 26 from last season. He also added four assists and two rebounds, controlling the game offensively from start to finish.

Two nights later on Saturday against Alaska Anchorage, Clark continued his offensive production with 17 points, while expanding his impact across the stat sheet. He chipped in six rebounds, two assists, and two steals, providing steady production despite tighter defensive pressure from the Seawolves.

Overall, Clark recorded 55 total points for an average of 27.5 points per game, along with 11 made three-pointers, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals. He also shot 19-30 for 63.3 percent from the field.

Clark and the Wildcats return to action this week on the road alongside the women's basketball team as both teams will travel to Seattle to take on Seattle Pacific on Thursday, Jan. 15. Tip-off for the women from the Royal Brougham Pavilion is set for 5:15 p.m., while the men take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m.
