ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University Softball Wildcats will no longer head north of the border this weekend as their four-game series on Friday and Saturday at Simon Fraser has been canceled due to impending weather conditions.
 
The Wildcats and Red Leafs series this weekend was scheduled as a nonconference series and the two teams will play each other in Ellensburg later this season for a GNAC series on Friday and Saturday April 3 and 4.
 
The Wildcats will now turn their attention to their GNAC-opening games on Friday and Saturday March 20 and 21 when they host the Western Oregon Wolves (11-10). Both days first pitch is set for noon with game two to follow approximately a half an hour after the conclusion of game one.
