ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Three Central Washington University Baseball student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced on Tuesday.

Andre Garza, and
Ethan Swenson were all honored with Blank and Garza eligible to move on to the CSC Academic All-American voting that will be announced on Tuesday, June 23.
The 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2026-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs.
Blank, a senior outfielder from Bellevue, Wash., earned All-District honors after posting a 3.94 GPA in Physical Education & School Health. He earned Second Team All-GNAC after landing second on the 'Cats squad in batting average with a .336 average on a team-high 51 hits. He added six doubles, one triple, and knocked in 16 RBI while drawing 19 walks. He also stole seven bases and had a .956 fielding percentage.
Garza, a unanimous First Team All-GNAC junior second baseman from Othello, Wash. grabs All-District honors after earning a 3.61 GPA in Physical Education & School Health. He had a huge season for the 'Cats, earning a .326 batting average with 46 hits with six of those hits coming as doubles and three coming as home runs. He knocked in 23 RBI and drew 12 walks. He also was a perfect six of six on stolen base attempts. He also added a .928 fielding percentage.
Swenson, a sophomore first baseman from Arlington, Wash., grabs All-District honors with a 3.95 GPA in Business Administration after earning Honorable Mention All-GNAC. The newcomer to the crimson and black made his 6'8 presence known, earning a .311 batting average on 41 hits. He added six doubles and five home runs while knocking in 32 RBI and drawing six walks. He also finished the season with a .973 fielding percentage.
