The two wins elevate the Wildcats to 17-12 and 10-8 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, while the division leading Wolves fall to 19-13 and 12-6 in the GNAC.
The Wolves found the plate, twice, early in game one aided by two fielding errors, but the Wildcats answered quickly in the bottom of the frame with a 2-run homerun by senior
Eric Tinnell (Ephrata, WA, Ephrata) to the opposite field.
Junior
Zach Reay (Blackfoot, ID, Blackfoot) followed suit in the second inning with his own two-run blast over the left field fence, as the Wildcats would go on to score two runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Starting pitcher,
Stuart Fewel (Portland, OR, Wilson), went 6.1 innings allowing 12 hits, 7 runs 5 earned, while striking out five for the no decision.
The Wolves, tied the game in the top of the seventh with four runs of their own as they brought nine men to the plate in the inning.

Scott Stone (Corvallis, OR, Crescent Valley) untied the 8-8 game with his fourth homerun of the year as it snuck its way out over the 376-foot sign in right, and an eighth inning bases loaded walk by senior
Josh Potter (Des Moines, WA, Mount Rainier) added a key insurance run.

Cory Welch (Las Vegas, NV, Bishop Gorman) came on to earn his fifth save of the season, working the last two innings and striking out three.

Brandon Williams (Auburn, WA, Auburn Mountainview) improved to 6-1 on the season with his game two win, as he went the distance striking out eight, walking one, and allowing just one earned run.
The one-one pitchers duel lasted into the bottom of the sixth until senior
Kasey Bielec (Port Orchard, WA, North Mason) led off with a single and scurried home when designated hitter
Jake Levin (Redmond, WA, Redmond) guided a five-hopper by a diving Wolves' third basemen.
Williams, who continues to lead the GNAC in strikeouts (58) closed the door in the seventh with an easy 1-2-3 inning, striking out two Wolves' batters.
