ELLENSBURG, Wash (March. 18) – The Central Washington University baseball team will remain in town this coming weekend to battle visiting Saint Martin's University for a four-game series beginning Saturday, March., 21 and continuing on Sunday, March 22.
The four-game series was originally scheduled to be held in Lacey, Wash., home of the Saints, but because of possible poor weather conditions, all four games will be played in Ellensburg.
The Wildcats are coming off a three-win weekend having defeated Northwest Nazarene University three-out-of-four times. Central Washington's record stands at 12-10 overall and 6-6 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, as the Saints bring a record of 8-14 overall and 2-6 in league.

Bielec leads the team in average, hitting .397 (29-73) and is tied for second on the team in RBIs (16) and homeruns (4). The first year outfielder,
Darren Honeysett, is leads the team in RBIs and homeruns hitting out of the two-hole in front of Bielec.
Atkinson has solidified the Wildcat lineup hitting in the five spot after his monstrous weekend versus Northwest Nazarene University. The second basemen was 8-for-17 stroking three doubles, two homeruns while driving in eighth RBIs.

Zach Johnson gives CWU a formidable rotation. Johnson holds a record of 2-1 on the season, while leading the team in earned run average and leading the team in innings pitched. Johnson also has six pickoffs to his name as the crafty lefty lures base runners to fall asleep on first base.
Senior
Cory Welch led the league in saves last year with 11, but the reliable closers has been tossed into both starting and closing duties. The power right-hander has started two games for the Wildcats this season, while accumliating five saves on the year, two of which came in one day last Saturday versus NNU. Welch is averaging one strikeout per inning.
Saint Martin's Scouting Report The Saint's rank last in the GNAC in team batting average, hitting .251 compared to Central's mark of .289. Chandler Tracy leads the team in homeruns knocking eight out of the park thus far, while hitting .338 (23-68). He has also drove in 21 runs, and is 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts, which leads his team.
Pitcher Josh Moss leads the team in starts on the mound and in wins, as he holds a 2-3 record for the season. Moss has pitched the most innings for the team, tossing 33 innings and carries a 5.18 ERA.
First pitch for the start of both doubleheaders is scheduled for Noon on both Saturday, and Sunday.
