Wildcats travel to Billings for Series Against Yellowjackets

ELLENSBURG, Wash.—After a few weeks away from action the Central Washington Baseball Team heads to Montana State University Billings for a four game series with the Yellowjackets.

SCOUTING THE 'JACKETS
The 'Jackets are 8-28 so far this season, fresh off of a four-game sweep at the hands of Western Oregon. Previously this season the 'Jackets traveled to Ellensburg and were handed a 3-1 series loss by the 'Cats.

The 'Jackets offense is led by Will Riley, the junior posts a .396 average with only nineteen strikeouts through one hundred and forty four at-bats. The tough out is followed by Daniel Cipriano, the hard hitting senior leads the GNAC with 13 home runs with an average of .333 on the season. Lastly for the 'Jackets is senior Tanner Cantwell. Cantwell currently sports a .323 average with a .453 on base percentage. The trio has started and played all thirty-six games for the 'Jackets.

On the defensive side it is senior Blake Tritch who leads the 'Jackets with a 4.43 ERA and an opposing batting average of .244. As a team the 'Jackets post a 10.49 ERA, it will be essential for the 'Cats to get deep into the bullpen to do damage.

'CATS IN ACTION
At the dish the 'Cats are led by GNAC Individual Batting leader, Justin Hampson. The senior is batting .465 on the season with a .542 on base percentage and .746 slugging percentage. Just behind Hampson and second in the GNAC, is sophomore Zach Berryman sporting a .464 average. The duo is followed up by Tyler McClain and Mitch Lesmeister. McClain leads the 'Cats in long balls with three on the year with a .344 average. Lesmiester is sporting a strong .348 average with nine doubles and only five strikeouts on the year.

Senior Dillon Larsen has been the go-to guy on game one for the 'Cats. Larsen sports a 6.18 ERA with forty-nine strikeouts this season. Larsen has been able to hold opposing batters to a team-leading .204 average. Behind the strong south-paw is the trio of Dylan Weese, Josh Touhey and Reid Rasmussen. Weese leads the group with a 1.16 ERA. Touhey sports a strong 6.61 ERA while striking out fourteen through sixteen innings. Rasmussen sports a 5.94 ERA with fifteen strikeouts.
