Lemming Named LSC Offensive Player of the Week

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - JJ Lemming, the man behind center in Saturday's Homecoming victory over Midwestern State, received Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Lemming, a 6'6" quarterback from Steilacoom, Wash, had a stellar performance against the Mustangs. He completed 26 passes on 36 attempts for 227 yards, a completion percentage of over 72%.

He passed for both of the Wildcat's touchdowns, helping the Crimson and Black move to 4-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play.

Playing in the absence of Quincy Glasper, Lemming spread the ball around. On the night, he found seven different Wildcats, including Tai-John Mizutani who had 10 receptions, 85 yards and one touchdown. Lemming added 36 yards on the ground against MSU, totaling 263 all-purpose yards.

The Wildcats (4-2, 4-1) travel to Canyon, Texas for a showdown against West Texas A&M (4-3, 2-3) on Saturday. CWU will look to build on last Saturday's Homecoming victory as they stay within striking distance at the top of the LSC standings.
