ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Central Washington University softball placed 11 players on the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes & Noble College, the conference office announced today.

Keegan Wise (3.88, Information Technology & Administration Management) and Isabel Womack (3.84, Elementary Education) earned their third selections to the Academic All-GNAC squad.

Second time selections include: Alyssa Benthagen (3.69, Sport Management/Accounting), Harlee Carpenter (3.83, Clinical Physiology), Rhaney Harris (3.94, Sport Management), Myiah Seaton (3.70, Exercise Science), and Allie Thiessen (3.92, Social Services).

Jillian Hampson (3.83, Special Education), Taylor Kai (3.92, Professional Pilot), Makenna King (3.50, Undeclared), and Ashlee Laver (3.59, Biology) all earned their first selection to the Academic All-GNAC squad.

In total, forty-two members of the All-Academic Team are repeat selections, accounting for nearly 61 percent of the total honorees. Eleven earned selection for the third time.

To qualify for the GNAC All-Academic Teams, presented by Barnes & Noble College, nominees must be of sophomore eligibility or greater, have a minimum cumulative GPA or 3.20 or greater, be a letterwinner on their team and must be in their second year at the nominating institution.
