LAST TIME OUT
The 'Cats fell in all games to Cal State San Bernardino. On the mound,
Ryan Arredondo started game one and worked through 7 innings, striking out one batter.
Reid Rasmussen started game two and went 4.1 innings facing 15 batters and striking out two.
In the final game,
Daniel Charron started and worked through three innings, then
Aaron Robertson came in followed by
Nolan Murphy. Zach Connors closed the game for the Wildcats.
Offensively,
Ben Leid is averaging .438 at the plate with seven hits, a double, and two RBIs. Kevin "Baba" Varner Jr. has a .429 batting average, six hits, three doubles, and three RBIs.
Travis Helm leads the team in RBIs with six on five hits.
SCOUTING CAL STATE EAST BAY
Cal State East Bay is 2-1 overall after their series last week against Menlo. The Pioneers won the first two games 1-0 and 11-4, but Menlo answered in the third game, winning 11-4.
Offensively, Luke Brown and Donovan Bailey lead Cal State East Bay. Over three games, Brown has a .444 batting average, four hits, and four RBIs. Donovan Bailey has a .375 average with three hits and an RBI.
Gabe Tanner is a force on the mound. Through five innings of work, he gave up no runs, one hit, and struck out seven batters.
Other notable arms that the 'Cats could face are Jackson Ellis (three strikeouts), RJ Aranda (3.60 ERA), and Garrison Fink (3.60 ERA).
