LAST TIME OUT
Central Washington went 1-1 in their opening home series against Saint Martin's last week. The Wildcats dropped game one 10-13 and then won game two 6-4.
In the game two victory, Andrew Vankemseke got the 'Cats on the board with an RBI single to center. Next, doubles from
Sam Lauderdale and
Ben Leid gave the Crimson and Black a 5-2 lead. With one inning to play,
Charlie Larson hit a sac fly that scored Vankemseke and gave the 'Cats an insurance run.
Alex Brady shut down the Saints in the seventh to secure Central Washington's first home victory.
Daniel Charron started on the mound for CWU and got the win by striking out one batter over four innings.

WILDCAT STAT LEADERS
Trevor Tripoli leads the team with a .360 batting average.
Sam Lauderdale has the best on-base percentage .959 and the most homers launching four so far this season.
Ben Leid has six doubles this season and
Travis Helm has recorded 14 RBIs.
On the mound,
Brayde Hirai leads the 'Cats with two wins. He has a 1.33 ERA and eight strikeouts over 20.1 innings of work.
Alex Brady has a save this season and leads the team in strikeouts, fanning 10 batters.
SCOUTING SAINT MARTIN'S
The Saints are 4-11 overall and took game one 13-10 against Central Washington last weekend. SMU utilized four pitchers in the victory and Colin Driscoll recorded the win throwing 3.2 innings and striking out two. At the plate, Damon Ingram went 3-5 with a double and a three-run homer to right field.
Brady Bean leads the Saints with a .433 batting average and Trevor McCorkle has the best slugging percentage at .667. Reid Little has 5 RBIs so far this season and three Saints have hit home runs.
On the bump, Nikki Scott and Justice Yamashita are the mainstays. Scott has struck out five batters in 10.2 innings and Yamashita leads the team with 16 Ks in 13.1 innings of work.
