This will be a great opportunity to give our very young team more opportunities to get better as we get set for the GNAC Winter Warmup games next week."

LAST OUTINGS

The Wildcats had a double-header against Eastern Oregon scheduled for last weekend, however inclement weather forced the two squads to postpone their meeting. The last time CWU was in action was two weekends ago at the CUI Kick-Off Classic where the 'Cats went 0-5.

The crimson and black lost 3-0 to Chico State in a battle of the Wildcats. McKayla Cable had the lone hit for CWU while Zoey Theophilus pitched the full seven innings allowing six hits, three runs two of which were earned, and one walk while striking out one against 29 batters. CWU then fell to hosting Concordia Irvine by a 5-0 score to wrap up day one. Karsyn Decker, Gabi Casco, and Serena Perez all had a hit while Casco drew two walks and Jessica Reitz-Eaton drew one. Payton Kessler pitched all six innings allowing seven hits, five runs four of which were earned, and three walks while striking out eight of the 29 batters faced.

CWU opened day two of the CUI Kick-Off Classic with a 9-1 five inning setback to Dominican (CA). Mia Flores put the 'Cats on the board in the top of the first when she singled up the middle to score Decker. Flores had two hits while Decker and Brooke Blocker each had one. Casco and Reitz-Eaton each drew a walk. Theophilus pitched the 4.2 innings allowing 10 hits, nine runs eight of which were earned, and one walk while striking out three of the 26 batters faced. Central Washington dropped a 3-2 contest to Hawaii Pacific to wrap up day two. Cable struck in the top of the first for CWU doubling to left field to score Decker and Reitz-Eaton. Decker led the way with two hits for CWU while Reitz-Eaton, Cable, Casco, and Perez each logged one hit. Adriana Rodriguez drew two walks while Reitz-Eaton drew one. Ellie Gilbert made her collegiate debut pitching all six innings allowing eight hits, three runs two of which earned, and one walk while striking out two against 28 batters.

The 'Cats wrapped up their time at the CUI Kick-Off Classic with a 5-3 setback to Cal State Monterey Bay. Flores once again put the 'Cats on the board in the first with a single to the shortstop to score Decker. Decker gave the lead back to CWU in the sixth inning when she singled up the middle to score Rodriguez and Blocker. Decker led the way again this time with three hits with Cable not far behind with two while Reitz-Eaton, Flores, Perez, Blocker, and Reese Schimmel each had one. Rodriguez drew the only walk for CWU.
