Box Score OAKLAND, Calif. (Feb. 16) -- Central Washington University senior pitcher STUART FEWEL  (Wilson HS) hurled his way to a complete game victory as the Wildcats defeated The Academy of Art 5-2 at Laney College Sunday afternoon.

With the win the Wildcats win the series 3-1 and improve their season record to 4-2 on the season.  AAU fell to 4-4 on the season.

Fewel threw all nine innings in the contest, scattering 9 hits, two runs – one earned – while striking out six batters to improve to 1-0 on the season.  Of the 37 batters he faced, 16 were extinguished by groundout, as first baseman JOSH POTTER (Mount Rainier" recorded 14 putouts in the game.

KASEY BIELEC again led the Wildcats with two hits going 2-for-4 in the game scoring one run.  Senior JAYKOB SELLS (Mountlake Terrace HS) did not get a single hit in the contest, but drove in two Wildcat runs, one on a ground out in the third inning and the other on a fielders choice in the fifth inning.

The Wildcats will finish up their four-game series -- postponed by rain -- with San Francisco State tomorrow, Feb. 17 with a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m.
