Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Ellensburg, Wash (May 2nd) – The Central Washington University baseball team dropped two games 11-4, and 3-1 versus Saint Martin's University behind excellent Saint's starting pitching.

The losses leave the Wildcats 28-17 overall and 17-13 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats fell into an early hole in game one as the Saints scored two runs in the first inning and three in the third inning.

The come back began in the fourth as back-to-back hits by Scott Stone (Corvallis, OR, Crescent Valley) and Josh Potter (Des Moines, WA, Mount Rainier) and an RBI fielder's choice by Jaykob Sells (Mountlake Terrace, WA, Mountlake Terrace) two batters later closed the gap to 5-3.

The Wildcats would add another run in fifth as Ethan Sterkel (Ellensburg, WA, Ellensburg) singled to left and scored Eric Tinnell (Ephrata, WA, Ephrata) who led off the inning with a hit.

Skye Adams (Vancouver, WA, Columbia River), battled through six innings allowing seven earned runs while striking out four in his sixth loss of the season.

The game escaped the Wildcats when the Saints exploded for six runs in the seventh, as 11 batters came to the plate in the inning, and were aided by two Wildcat errors.

Game two saw Brandon Williams (Auburn, WA, Auburn Mountainview) take his third loss of the season. The starter went six innings, allowing six hits and striking out seven.

The lone run came in the sixth as Jake Levin (Redmond, WA, Redmond) drove in Sterkel, who had reached base on a hit two batters earlier. With the bases loaded, Stone would pinch hit for Jesse White (Salinas, CA, Salinas) and fly into an inning-ending double play to end the scoring threat.

The Wildcats will play the final two games of the regular season tomorrow with another two-game series versus the Saints beginning at 1 p.m.
