Bender, Boast, Correa, and Harris Secure Victories as Wildcats Triumph at Jeff Rahn Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Central Washington University track & field team put together an impressive performance at the Dr. Jeff Rahn Invitational hosted by Whitworth Meet on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats secured four event victories and set new season best marks.

ABOUT THE MEET
  • Josh Boast claimed victory in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 52.72 seconds, earning him a #18 NCAA Division II ranking. He also finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best 14.93 seconds.
  • Johan Correa claimed victory in the men's 800 meter with 1:49.04 and placed second in the 5000 meter with 14:50.39.
  • Freshman Matthew Bender secured the victory in the men's long jump with 6.75 meters and placed fifth in the triple jump with 13.16 meters, showcasing his potential.
  • Isaiah Webster, Cohen Hall, Trevion Walker, and Bautista Diamante teamed up and won the men 4x100 meter relay with 41.30 seconds.
  • David Brown delivered a strong performance, placing second in the 110-meter hurdles with 14.48 seconds and finishing fifth in the 400-meter hurdles at 57.66 seconds.
  • Diamante had a solid performance, securing second place in the 200 meters with 21.28 seconds, ranking #34 in NCAA Division II. He also finished third 100 meter with a time of 10.65 seconds.
  • On the women's side, Donna Marie Harris claimed victory in the 400 meters with 56.68 seconds. Teammate, Emy Ntekpere finished third in the 100 meter hurdles with 15.02 seconds. She also placed third in the long jump event with 5.40 meters.
  • E'lexis Hollis delivered a standout race in the 200 meters, finishing second with a time of 23.71 seconds, currently #8 in NCAA Division II. She later teamed up with Elise Hopper, Zoe Gonzales, and Ashlyn Nielsen to win the women's 4x100 meter relay in 45.09 seconds, earning a #5 national ranking.
  • Elise Hopper continued her strong form, setting personal records in both the 100 meters (12.14 seconds, third place) and the 200 meters (24.25 seconds, third place).
  • Tehya Moore rounded out the women's field events with a personal-best 11.47 meters in the triple jump, earning fourth place.
 
UP NEXT
Your Wildcats return home to host the Wildcat Invitational on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th. The meet will take place at the Recreation Sports Complex in Ellensburg, Wash.
