SPOKANE, Wash.- The Central Washington University track & field team delivered a strong performance at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at The Podium, highlighted by
Emy Ntekpere's three gold medals. The Wildcats' women's squad finished runner-up with 152 points, while the men also secured a second-place finish, totaling 102.5 points.

Reigning national champion
Emy Ntekpere delivered one of the most dominant performances in meet history, capturing three gold medals while earning Female Field Athlete of the Meet and Female High Point Scorer honors. Ntekpere claimed the long jump title with a leap of 5.81 meters (19'0.75"), cleared 1.71 meters (5'7.25") to win the high jump, and soared 12.81 meters (42'0.50") to secure gold in the triple jump. Her triple jump mark not only shattered the meet record but also ranks second in NCAA Division II this season.
Elise Hopper added to the Wildcats' momentum with a standout sprint performance. She earned bronze in the 200 meters in 24.00 seconds, a personal best that ranks ninth in NCAA Division II, and followed with a silver-medal finish in the 400 meters at 54.93 seconds, a season-best time.
Carley Huber captured silver in the pentathlon with 3,424 points, delivering a consistent all-around performance across all five events.
Azariah Miller recorded a personal-best 12.05 meters (39'6.50") in the triple jump to earn bronze, a mark that ranks No. 25 nationally in Division II.
In the pole vault,
Adalynn Claybrook cleared 3.50 meters (11'5.75") to take silver.
Maddy Harrison controlled the pace in the 3,000 meters, racing to a gold medal finish in 10:02.34.
Maliyah Gordon led the throws group with a gold-medal performance in the weight throw at 17.91 meters (58'9.25"), a mark that ranks No. 21 in NCAA Division II. She also placed
fourth in the shot put with a personal-best toss of 13.28 meters (43'7.00"). Teammate
Kamila Salanoa earned silver in the shot put with a personal-record 13.62 meters (44'8.25") and added an eighth-place finish in the weight throw at 14.08 meters (46'2.50").
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of
Carley Huber,
Donna Marie Harris,
Ashlyn Nielsen, and
Ellie DeGroot secured bronze in 3:45.54, a season-best time that ranks No. 16 nationally.
On the men's side, freshman
Colton Magruder electrified the track by breaking the meet record in the 60 meters with a blazing 6.62 seconds to win gold. The time ranks first in NCAA Division II and stands as a new personal record. Magruder also added a bronze medal in the 200 meters, clocking a personal-best 21.49 seconds.
Drew Klein claimed gold in the heptathlon with 5,149 points, showcasing depth and consistency across seven events.
David Brown followed with a gold-medal performance in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 8.07 seconds.
Cal'von Baker cleared a personal-best 2.04 meters (6'8.25") to win the high jump and later placed fourth in the triple jump with a personal-record 14.34 meters (47'0.75").
Ian Calhoon earned bronze in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.25 seconds.
In the throws,
Wes Kriete secured silver in the shot put with a personal-best 16.50 meters (54'1.75") and added a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with another personal record of 16.73 meters (54'10.75"), rounding out a strong overall performance for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats will await official confirmation of accepted entries for the USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for February 28 through March 1 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
Following the conclusion of the indoor campaign, Central Washington shifts its focus to the outdoor season, opening competition at the Central Washington University Wildcat Home Opener on March 6–7 in Ellensburg. The meet will be hosted at the Tomlinson Stadium & Nicholson Athletics Complex.
