For more than two decades served the university with distinction as an athletic director and football, track-and-field and golf coach. Athletic director between 1962 and 1980. Was head track-and-field coach between 1958 and 1962, compiling-25-7 won-loss record in duals and triangulars. Football coach in 1961 -62 (11 -6-1). After retiring as AD was head golf coach and assistant football coach. His 1982 golf team was the first Central squad to qualify for nationals in that sport.
