Led CWU to dual meet record of 35-4 and three consecutive titles (1939-41). Compiled record of 40-5 in singles and 32-3 in doubles. Won conference No. 2 singles title in 1940 and No. 1 singles crown, in 1941. Won conference doubles title in 1940 (with brother Clint) and 1941 (with Ray Whitfield). Selected among All-Time Top 10 players for state of Oregon.
