A three-time Basketball All-American. "Handshake" won third team honors in 1970-71, second team in 1971-72 and first team in 1972-73. Ranks among the all-time school leaders in scoring and rebounding with 1506 points and 764 rebounds. Averaged 17.1 points per game and shot 76.4 percent from the foul line. CWU Team Captain in 1972 and 1973. All-district in 1971, 1972 and 1973.
